well, at least, i think we all do...

most recently, i was just googling Eliana Grace's name just to see if our blog showed up.

sadly, it didn't.

BUT

did you know there are other "eliana grace's" out there??? i had no clue anyone else would name their daughter such an awesome name- i had never heard it when we chose it for its meaning.

AND the super cool part is that it seems like others who chose the name are Jesus lovers too!

just in case you are wondering how, on a picture you would like to save, either right-click (PC) or ctrl-click (mac), then choose "save as..." and follow the instructions :)

My gluten-free girl

It looks like 

we get to venture into a world of gluten- free

Ayelen and me

You see,

ayelen got sick and irritable when she first started soids (rice cereal, then oatmeal baby cereal)

so, when i talked to the dr about this, she mentioned that she might be

gluten intolerant

this is a big deal

this makes eating not so easy

but if would help my baby, i would do it in a heart beat.

so i did

and she is so happy now!

we surely got a fantastic surprise from Jared and Rebekah Motley when a package of goodies from a gluten free online shop arrived on our doorstep....

all of my favorite foods that i am now avoiding for ayelens sake- bread, tortillas, brownies, pancakes-etc- there was so much for us!

and Ayelen and Eliana surely loved the animal cookies- yay!!

can you tell what my girls LOVE to do together???

nearly every day i find them cuddle up with a book- usually in their daddy's chair.

then the three amigas in pajamas- Ayelen, Eliana, and Hadley.

they love to roll all over each other.

lighter note

Eliana loves to read.

She also loves her Big Elmo.

the other day she climbed into her rocking chair with big Elmo and a book and told me that she was going to read to him.

i loved hearing her explain the pictures to her red monster friend.

and she loves to touch other people's teeth, too.

she has such an explorative, inquisitive nature.

i am a mommy

i love being a mommy

but sometimes i miss just being christy

i want a friend, a real life laugh with me and listen to my silly stories friend.  not someone i have to watch myself around, or sing ABC's for, or teach and mentor- just a friend.  

i was planning to go to a local MOPS meeting tomorrow- my attempt to meet some friends.  i am trying... 

but i just received an email from the MOPS people, and long story short, i cannot go.

i was so looking forward to it. hmmmm... where to find a friend now?

okay enough of a pity party... but will anyone see this any way??
